Application Developer
Location: Studio City, CA
Roddenberry Productions, a leader in groundbreaking entertainment and science-fiction, is looking for a full-time Web developer. Our roster includes steady stable of science fiction successes including the scifi smash comic series DAYS MIS51NG, Gene Roddenberry’s Earth: Final Conflict, Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda, most notably, Star Trek.
This person must be an expert in Magento eCommerce and will be the point developer in maintaining our flagship site as well as the long-standing merchandising business, started by Gene Roddenberry, which is relied on by countless fans for the most authentic memorabilia as well as current multimedia items. Our CMS consists of heavy custom features and manages both e-commerce and non-ecommerce (news/blogs/custom pages/video gallery) areas of our site.
This is a full-time position working within the Interactive division offices of Roddenberry Productions. This is not a contracted position, nor a telecommuter position. If you have not had extended experience with Magento please do not apply.
The candidate must demonstrate the following:
• Expertise in Magento ecommerce platform
• Expertise in WordPress configuration
• Expertise in PHP, MySQL and CSS programming

THE ROLE:
Roddenberry is a production company with over 30+ years in Science Fiction development. You will be involved in all stages of Web development from specification through implementation to support. You’ll be joining a team of talented professionals working together to develop interactive solutions to a wide variety of projects for one of the world’s most recognized scifi brands.
Type: Salary ($40,000 + health benefits after 3 months, vacation and Star Trek anniversaries off)
