Last week, the second season of Eureka was released on DVD and frankly, it was a very pleasant surprise. Last year, the first season was released in what was billed to be an eco-friendly package. Well, it may have been eco friendly, but it wasn't user friendly. The package, made from natural materials, would not hold the disks in place even for the most patient individual. This year, the producers opted for a different ecology friendly package, made totally of recycled materials. This package is far superior to the first season as it looks and works like a traditional DVD package, with the emphasis on works!
The contents of the second season release are also great and worth the money. I've been a fan of the show since it started and remain so after the second season. The storylines were very entertaining and took the cast in directions many didn't expect. The big question we were left with was, will Henry (Joe Morton) be back for the third season?
Speaking of the third season, it will begin this Tuesday at 9 Eastern on Scifi. Be sure to turn in for the further adventures of the citizens of Eureka and hopefully the answer to the fate of Henry.
SciFi becoming battleground for new wrestling war?
Last week on ECW, fans may have seen the first return shot of what could become the first war between wrestling promotions since WWE bought their competition, WCW. For weeks, a rival promotion called Total Non-stop Action (TNA) have been taunting the WWE by taking old characters and symbols, changing them just enough to be legal and using them. The WWE seemed to be ignoring this till last Tuesday when a new wrestler on ECW was taking to someone, and showed them a hand gesture he “had come up with” as a gimmick. The gesture in question, was the gesture used by a tag team in TNA called LAX. So far, TNA has had no comment. Are we looking at SciFi becoming a battleground for the next wrestling war? Only time will tell.
Stargate DVD coming Tuesday
Tuesday will see the release of the second direct to DVD movie from Stargate SG1, entitled Continuum. This
movie will be a completely new story arc as the last ended the Ori storyline. I'll have a review on it next week here.

Ain't That Weird
Pastor Jeff Harlow came up with an unique demonstration for his recent sermon on unity. He decided to bring a dirt bike onto the stage and show how that a rider and the bike must become one to ride effectively. Well, it went well the first service, but in the second one, when the pastor walked it out onto the stage, he lost control and fell off the five foot stage into the first row of seats. Pastor Harlow suffered a broken wrist, but no one else was hurt.
I guess he got a bit too “Revved” up.
Think about it.
